Illuminated Sill?

What are the illuminated sills dealer installed or Factory? I'm going to order the JCW package because I love the wheels and Spoilers but want to get rid of the JCW door sills. Why would they put that in the car if it's not a JCW. It's like putting the SHELBY letters on a regular Mustang.

Those parts are dealer installed.

Because its a JCW aero kit.

A factory JCW will have badges that go on the rear boot in place of the Cooper S and on the drivers side lower grill. Also there is a checkered flag domed badge on the secret compartment above the glove box. Those 3 things identify the car as a factory JCW.

There are lots of JCW parts you can pick up like the CF parts, steering wheel, spoiler, tuning kit etc.

With the Tuning Kit you get badges (front/rear) but they don't replace the S badges. Oddly you also get (or did) nicer looking tail pipes (that can't be de badged ). Wish the factory JCW had these pipes (below).

Also BMW & Mercedes do the same with M and AMG appearance packages that have some badging.

Here is mines.

Those are exhaust tips with the tuning kit. The JCW does not have tips just the polished pipes coming from the muffler.

The tips from the JCW tuning kit are very nice. The factory JCW should have them too.

I know it's my car, that's what I said and I also said the Factory JCW should have them. Is my post wording not clear?

Just clarifying that those are tips. And agreeing with you that the factory JCW should have the nicer tips.

Is that OK?
