Hi all,

I've had my MCS for a year now and my stock run flat tires are just about ready for replacement. I wanted to see what everyone would recommend as a good replacement tire. I am not currently partaking any autocross events (although I plan to in the future) but I do enjoy the art of "spirited" driving . So I would like something that can handle aggressive twists and turns.

I have had the Hankook V12s and been very happy with them. I do not know if they are in your size but I recommend them.

In Florida, you won't need to worry about tires that lose their grip below 35-40F, so I'd suggest
the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec in 205/50/16, with either a plug kit, slime can,
or a compact spare on the floor in the back behind the driver seat.

 

+1 for star specs. I have them on my Miata and love them. Good Autocross tires too, if you decide to go that route.

They've really transformed the car after the run flats.
