From the dates in the notice, it looks like we dodged a bullet by deciding to not accept the first CM4 we configured that arrived, choosing instead to revise our options list and wait for Fenton to arrive.
No letter yet but went to dealership today for pricing on doing some mods, coilovers, camber links, step intercooler, etc. and as soon as I get the items they'll do it all and put the fix in as well.
Kill a couple of birds with one stone.

Second Round of Cooling Pump Recalls
17 April 2012 NHTSA
German luxury carmaker BMW AG is recalling 9,200 BMW and MINI cars worldwide over defective cooling pump.
The Munich-based company yesterday that it is recalling eight- and 12-cylinder versions of the BMW 5, 6, 7, X5 and X6 series and the MINI Cooper S and MINI John Cooper Works models. Most of the cars were produced in March and April 2011.
BMW said that the circuit board for the auxiliary water pump could overheat, leading to "a smoldering of the pump or an engine compartment or vehicle fire."
The company said that the problem has arisen only in one or two cases.
BMW will start issuing the recall this month, and dealers will replace the auxiliary water pump free of charge.
This extends the recall to include Fenton, made in March. The first recall was of cars manufactured up to March.
