Why would they do that??

Can someone tell me why in the hell would they make an auto down window control on the key fob, yet I have to get in to wind the windows back up It's like they got bored with programming and just left it out. WTH?!? Is there any way to fix it?

No, it's US safety laws...

Check the master NCS Expert thread in the electrical modifications sub-forum.

But it's still programmed for US main land details.
It's very similar to the VW / Audi and BMW world; some things are deselected and pre-programmed from the factory.

It's summer time, as you approach your hot car that's been sitting in the sun all day and you remotely drop your windows to cool it off, once in the car with the A/C running you roll them up. That was the intent.

If you have comfort access you can hold the button on the door handle and the windows will go up.

Just curious, because I see the situations where you'd want to roll them down remotely...hot days here in Texas I'll be using that a lot. However, what situations would you want to roll them up remotely?

This will also work if you take the emergency key out of the fob and put it in the door and turn it, for those without comfort access.

+1 the metal key turned to the lock position will lock the doors, lights will flash and roll the windows up. Not super convenient but beats getting back int he car and putting the key in.
