License plate mount?

Hi all:

New Countryman owner here and I live in Illinois where a front license plate is required. I have been to a few auto parts stores in search of the license plate mount that would line up with the two pre-drilled holes I see on the front bumper-- but no such luck. All of the brackets/mounts I find have the holes spaced much closer together. The last thing I want to do is drill holes into my car.

Any ideas on where to find a license plate mount that will work with the factory drilled holes?

Thanks!
Shane

How about your dealer? I'm surprised they didn't include the mount when you bought the car.

Well, the dealer is in Missouri-- a state where you don't have to have a front plate (I don't believe). So I didn't think about it til I got home...

call the dealer - he's got it - the car came with one. FL doesn't use front plates either, but my front plate holder was in the boot in case I wanted to use or for selling the car in another state. Worst case is a local dealer can order one thru the parts department.

curious about the 'factory drilled holes' - one of the perceived advantages of not having a front plate is no holes . . . . did the dealer drill holes anyway? I have two dimples indicating where the holes should be drilled but no holes.

I had to look but I did find my plate holder for my 07-S it is probably the same - pm me if you want it and I'll mail it to ya.

Get a GoMiniGo license plate holder, it screws into the tow hook hole in your front bumper.

They make them for the Countryman too.

Mine came with the car. Even though I live in a front plate state, I told them NOT to install it on the car. They kindly put it in the boot. Hopefully the fuzz won't catch me and ticket me. So far so good.
