Im going to be changing my belt when i get around to it and im thinking of a 2% crank pulley, but i hear of it causing alot of problems, at the same time some people are saying its fine. Im not sure whether to just use the crank pulley and hope it doesnt vibrate, or just use the 05-06 crank pulley.. I need a verdict
I have a 15% reduction supercharger pulley and a 4% crank pulley. No problems to report. I was told adding the light crank pulley was equal to removing 100ilbs from your car.
I heard it was 63 specifically, but does the engine vibrate more? I heard form sources that it wears your bearings out since its essentially like removing the harmonic balancer

Way Motor Works sells the ATI Super Crank Pulley, a 2% reduction, if you're considering this mod.
To keep a harmonic balancer but with the benifit of removing the failure prone OEM pulley plus spin my JCW supercharger a little faster, I purchased the ATI 2% pulley. I have not installed the new pulley yet. The disadvantage is it does not reduce any weight.

People have been using non-dampened pulleys for a while with no problems. There are too many variables to just make a blanket statement saying "the pulley definitely caused this"
Ok I was just wondering how safe this mod was... I was reading on MA and MT and I was hearing a lot of problems with vibration and bearing issues and all said cars ha this lighter crank pulley installed
I've had a Craven crank pulley on for 20K miles, no problems. From what I hear, the problem with the lightweight non-dampened crank pulley is when running past stock redline, AFAIK >7200RPM.
