Wetokole seat covers - worth the price?

Aloha from Hawaii!

I have been thinking about purchasing wetokole seat covers for my 2007, but want to hear from you guys that have them. I have sport seats, are the WO's hard to put on them? How do they wear overtime? (fading etc.) There are also alternatives to wetokoles out there, (neoprene seat covers), how are those?

Looking forward to any responses...thanks!

p.s. I am pretty sure Wetokole left Hawaii, and moved to CA...their place of business used to be across the street from where I work.

Are those seat covers available for cars that have airbags in the seat, like the Mini does?

We have a pair, and quite like them. They have made the standard leatherette seats more comfortable. They are wearing well too.

They have a cutout in the side of them for the side airbag, and are tested apparently in order to not interfere with them.

Can't comment on the alternatives. I've been happy with ours so far. They were not difficult to install. We have a set for our 2008 Clubman.

They moved to 1727 Dillingham Blvd., in Kalihi, though their factory is still in Costa Mesa. I've had them on my MCS since 03, still doing good. A few folks in the local (Oahu) MINI club have them so you should be able to check them out on the cars.

will check them out

Thanks! I saw that the moved to Dillingham, a little while after posting. Will go and make a visit. If you buy directly from the Dillingham store, do they install them too? I will probably do it myself anyways...

Yes they do...though it's pretty easy. You should know if we plan to keep it for a while and plan to wash once in a while anyways.

Keep in mind, they make it after you order it so it'll take a few weeks for the covers to come in.

I have their Ocean Camo on my 2008 and am very happy with them. The driver's side does show (understandable) wear on the left shoulder, right where I rub against it when I get in.

There is also some damage where our dog got into the car and got his paws (and nails) into them. Never again.

Overall, nicest seat covers I've ever had. They give great protection against the kids.

Awesome, thanks for the reply.

Has anyone used the cheaper CoverKings neoprene seat covers?

Wondering if they are comparable in quality and fit.

@handymus - did you ever order the wet okole seat covers? I have them in my Tacoma and the quality is excellent. The only complaint would be it makes my back sweat a bit more than usual in the summer. I've been thinking about getting wet okoles for my Mini.

If you can get enough interest in these seat covers, I know Wet Okole offers a discount for a group buy. They do it all the time on TacomaWorld (Toyota Tacoma forum).

I took a visit to the showroom here, and ordered a set for the front seats and the back. It will take a couple of weeks for them to come in, then they will install them for me. Since I have a 2007, the interior is showing some normal wear and tear, so the seat covers should look great! I will post some pics once they get installed.

I love mine! I take my dog in the car often, and it helps hide the dirt. I've had mine on since Spring '09 and they still look good. I have tinted windows and keep my top up when I'm not driving and they've only faded a bit. The seat heaters work through them, too. I debated a lot before buying them, but I'm very happy I did.

Not for dogs

I wouldn't think these seat covers would be good for big dogs, small would be fine, I think. Remember its neoprene, but not as thick, or strong like wetsuits.

I really like the look they give my car. Color is great, and fit is snug. You don't have to worry about them getting wet, in the occasional rain with the top down.

A little pricey, but worth it in the end.
