Electrical Blue tooth CK3000 EVO with CTPPAR008
Blue tooth CK3000 EVO with CTPPAR008
I am getting conflicting information if this will function properly. This is for a 2012 R56 Hardtop. All I want is to install a basic blue tooth system that uses the steering wheel controls. It appears that Parrot CK3000 evo with the Connects2 CTPPAR008 should be plug and play and do the trick, although there is conflicting info on CAN-BUS or NO CAN-BUS (whatever that means). Many have gone to Mikey (newministuff) in the UK for the kit, but I prefer to purchase from US vendors. I also plan to swap the front/rear speaker wires in the wire harness prior to feeding the parrot. This way, the phone still comes out the front, and the full bass channel (stereo front) is fed to the back 6x9 speakers. So, I have 2 simple questions:1.) Will the CTPPAR008 and CK3000 function properly with the steering wheel controls on the 2012 Mini Cooper?
2.) What is the pinout wire configuration (with wire colors) for the CTPPAR008 for me to swap the front and rear speaker wires.
Please respond if you know for sure if this works, for a dialog based on more assumptions will only further confuse me.
Thank You.

Does this help
So, I am not sure if I have the answers for you but I did add bluetooth to my 2005 R50 via Parrot ck3000 and harness etc from newministuff.com in the UK.
The attached photo is CAN-BUS connector from a Ford. So, it is the type/style of interface that is used in your car. I don't know if anything changed on the 2012. But if your connectors look like the one in the link, you may be ok.
Here are some photos of how I did it.
I think the connect2 module is the same that you get from newministuff.com (cant say for sure).
The nice thing about newministuff is that Mikey is a Mini/MINI guy and has experience with our cars.
Now I am not sure if what your looking at will do the same, but with everything I got from Mikey, it was plug and play. I didn't have to splice any wires.
Good Luck
