These are the inside plastic covers which are at either end of the front windshield which house an airbag? It won't just pop off. Need to remove the left and right vent trim pieces and there is a screw you can't get to (at least I don't know any way) unless the A-pillar trim is removed first.

Pop out the plastic plug that says "Airbag", and remove the torn screw. Then use gentle pressure and it will pop out.
