Sad to Say, But the MINI is History...
It is with a heavy heart I must report that my fun '06 MCSa is history. With only 32K miles on her she developed the infamous leaking thermostat gasket after having the water pump replaced earlier this year. As much as I loved her, with the nearest dealer being 100 miles away, and now maintenance issues popping up with such low mileage, it was time to decide if it was worth keeping her with the extended warranty running out in May '12 or letting her go.
Fortunately, the much closer Cadillac dealership made the decision bearable by offering me a killer deal on a '12 CTS-V coupe which I just ordered and taking my MCSa in trade at a great price. I know it's apples to oranges going from 168 HP to 556 HP, but my husband has had such good luck with his '11 Z06, I knew it was time to make this switch.
I'll miss defending the Aisin auto transmission when it's mistakenly labelled a CVT, but I sure appreciate all the great advice and knowledge I've gained from many good people these past 5 years!

My '06 MCSc is leaking something somewhere... and I've yet to fix the A/C.
Hmmm... me needs to trade this puppy for a Lear Jet.
It's too bad you can't take your Caddy to maximum speed in the US. Germans often say, "In the States, horsepower is mostly bragging right. In Germany, it's therapeutic!"
Have fun with the Caddy...
