It is with my ’08. Just have to flip the parking lights and the fogs. But the Gen 2’s are consolidated in the same unit, so I’m not sure about the Gen 1’s...

Do you have an inordinate amount of fog in Charleston?
Running fogs just to have them on is generally frowned upon by law enforcement, but may be different in S.C. Anyway, good luck.
(and yes it is doable)

I’d agree that law enforcement frowns on it. I was up at Watkins Glen last summer and exiting the track parking lot had on just my fogs. Out on some side roads I stopped at a stop sign and a Sheriff was to my left. I disappeared around a bend (he was stuck behind two cars) then saw him in my rear view and turned on my headlights. He made a U-turn immediately...

Sounds like you are doing everything possible to give a reason to be pulled over!!!! You have 2 clear violations with the window tint. Maybe the fog lights will pull the attention of law enforcement away from the window tint!!

I run that way all the time. Simply rotate to 1st position on the stalk and then reach down to fog toggle and flip it on and green light on toggle illuminates. No problems w/law where I live.

That's strange. I've owned 4 Minis and they all worked the same. When you say "running lights", what are you referring to? All my Minis had the Fog lights so I was always running with the parking and fog lights on and headlights off.
None of the cars reacted to the ebrake being on or off. Not sure, but there may be a setting with the on board computer?

Sounds like you just want to disable the daytime running lights. That will require a trip to the dealer, or a private shop with the correct equipment.

I run my parking lights and fogs all the time during dusk and dawn. I guess Florida Law Enforcement doesn't frown on it since I have never been pulled over for this infraction. My tint is legal though 8-)

I've seen state trooper cars here running with the fogs and the headlights. I guess they don't care here either.
