Looking For... Replacement Boot/Bonnet paint guards

Howdy Folks,

I apologize, as I have no idea what the proper term/name is for the part I am looking for...

There are clear decals for the boot and bonnet on the mini that protect the paint where the rubber standoffs come in contact. I am looking to replace mine. Any ideas on either the oem part number or a good replacement?

Thank you!

When I picked up mine 4 years ago I saw that the protectors under the rubber stops had begun to buckle and wanted to replace them. My MA kindly took me out to his MINI and showed me that after years of wear the paint still looked OK. He explained that the round "stickers" were an installation item and were not needed in everyday use.

After 4 years now, I will have to say that my boot and bonnet are no worse for wear not having them on.

If you want to replace them, I'd suggest going to any shop that installs clear bra products and see if they can give you a few square inches of material. Clean the area well and install. It will be interesting to see if they buckle and fall off too.

Enjoy your new MINI!

They're called Sealing Film. Part number is 51711922189 for 30mm diameter ones.
