Best All-Season Tires??

I've searched this forum, and although this thread must exist somewhere, I cannot find it - so here goes.

I am looking for a tire for my Honda CRV. I am looking for an all-season.

My problem has been that we burn through tires in less than half the advertised life-span. My last set we're Michelins, advertised to last 80k miles.

Ours lasted less than 30k.

Performance for me is less an issue than longevity. Is there anyone here who can attest from personal experience?

TIA!

If you are expecting a MINI driver to pipe up with their experiences with a MINI tire, you are sorta mixing apples and oranges here. What works well on a MINI is not necessarily going to carry over to another brand, esp an AWD SUV of sorts.

It's actually the AWD feature of the CR-V causing the tire wear, not the fault of the tire. They are known for that issue. When you have a chance, check some of the Honda CR-V forums you will probably get a more accurate response.

Actually I was curious if there was a make of tire that several people could attest to longevity.

Most people on this forum own or have owned more than just MINIs, so I didn't think it was a stretch to try and get some opinions.

I think mini's tend of eat tires...
short wheel base, tight turns...adds up.
Best all season...lol...
Most mini drivers tend to lean towards performane as opposed to longevity...kinda like brake pads...the best all season for the guy in the south might be worse than useless for the north, and ok in the midatlantic....if you travel you will notice most tires are marketed more regionaly than nationaly due to geographic differences ....the needs of one area is simply different...
that having been said very few tires ever make their full advertised lifspan on anycar...it is simply a way for them to get you back to the store to get $5 torwards the new tire in the same brand.....

we have had great luck with michliens...LTX on a toyota highlander..good traction, long life...on a 2nd set, almost 100k each...nice solid tread, handling, no squirm...but $$ at nearly $180 each....

Have had good luck with B f Goodrich long trail bought at costco and used on a Honda Element. Have now a 2011 CRV with Continental tires And will put Long Trail on it when origionals wear out.

Mother in law has the longtrails on her crv..
the large tread voids will likely end up in short 40,000 mile life...kinda like the 60,000 mile life on the club version of the ltx..(had them on my tacoma...cheaper, but you get what you pay for).....price point product...
Big tread voids tend to increase squirm and reduce rubber for life...the ltx and other high mile tires tend to have high rubber to void content in the tread ...

Thanks a lot everyone - some really good tips and suggestions.

May have to give Michelin LTXs a try. Sounds promising.
