These are pix from our informal CAI photo shoot today. These covers are/may be included in a variation of the CAI, but I wanted to know what you guys thought of them as a separate item?

It does look nice with that mirror finish. Does it serve a function or is it purely cosmetic? If there's a function, with which CAI? How well does it work without the scoop?

Nice it would go really well with some other aluminum or polished bits in the engine bay

Thx Dave/Affiliation

Dave, they are purely cosmetic. Our new CAI has this "Y" shaped pipe that goes from the grille to the new airbox cover we provide, and the main purpose of these panels is to cover up that area. Purely cosmetic, but they look really sweet in there!

I like it. Who makes the air scoops and where did you get them?
Thanks.

Dan what are the chances of those covers being done in Carbon Fiber to match the intake? I would definatly be into that as a way to complete the package. Randy

Funny you should ask! We spoke about that yesterday, and it's definately something we can do.

I was thinking the same thing. But i guess that would depend on price difference between the two.
