I was in my dealership the other day and overheard a woman at the desk telling a customer there would be a auto Cooper S coming out september-ish. Anyone else hear this?

1st I've heard of this ?????

It would certainly open MINI's market ... as there are individuals who just don't want a manual transmission auto.

I always feel...choices ..."is a good thing "

Peace,
D

wow, that's the first I've read too. Wonder if it would come with a sequential
(SMG) or just a CVT. If SMG, i may want to look into it. Please keep us
posted.

As it stands today, that is pure BS. Months ago I read about another story of a MINI dealer telling one of its customers that he could get a MCS custom ordered with a CVT transmission. There seems to be dealers willing to spread unsubstantiated BS to customers just to make a sale

There is not official information from MINI as of this date stating the possibility of the introduction of a CVT/SMG Cooper S. If the dealer claims otherwise they are laying and need to provide full backup documentation for said claims.
