Somewhere I read that there will be some MINIs racing on the SPEED Channel at 4:00 PM eastern time on Sat 2/14.

 

Haden't heard that but, will be sure & check it out.

Im watching now, the mini isnt doing too well...that yellow RX8 looks awesome!

 

I thought there was only going to be one MINI racin this season. I knew that one of the blue ones was going to race like last year, but when watching it, I saw the blue one, and a red one...was I misinformed?

Yup they only showed the mini for a few seconds...but they did show that ugly pontiac a lot

Daytona is a 'horsepower track'. Not a place for MINIs to run against Pontiacs.

Do they even make those anymore?????

 

Yeah HP ruled the day. When asked about how good the Pontiac was running against the other cars, one of the Pontiac people said the Porsches should ask for their money back. He liked only American cars I guess. The Pontiac was borrowed for the race and as I understand it won't be racing in the other races. I don't know what car that team will use, maybe other Pontiacs -- I did not catch anything on that. I like the curvier tracks where the MINI can do its stuff.
