Cooper calls to all!

My experience in a thunderstorm yesterday got me thinking. Twice now my MINI performed brilliantly in inclement weather which given the atrocious conditions amazed me both times. I wonder, what is it about your MINI that pleasantly surprised you? Performance related, comfort, safety, anything. The floor is yours.

Avoided three accidents because of the car. One because of the small size, one because of the handling, and one because of both.

My 04 MCS was the most stable car I ever owned in ANY weather - even with all the mods it handled everything and never made me worry. I hope my New clubman can measure up to the standard my "old" Mini set...

I avoided a nasty accident on the Autobahn when an Italian fell asleep at the wheel on his way to the World Cup. I pulled the car across three lanes of traffic at 130 KMH and the entire time the car stayed right under me. No cars were damaged but the Italian was wide awake after that.

I was also caught in a terrific thunderstorm - rain coming down in buckets for a very long stretch of time.

It was so much rain that I worried a bit about the panoramic roof - but it held up beautifully. Not a drop leaked and the car performed perfectly.

Wait until your car is 8 or 9 years old...

That's awesome! Glad to hear your MINI kept you safe. These really are wonderful cars, aren't they?

8 or 9 years is a long time for weather seals to last. I had a Mustang convertible that leaked after the car was 4 years old. I'll still take an 8 or 9 year old MINI over many cars out there.
