Saw the idea on the cheap mod ideas thread , so I wanted to try it out . Cost was zero had all the stuff at my work ) came out good , gives the front end a different look . And the best part it was free !

I will have some better pic's tommorow when it is sunny out , getting kinda dark when I finished , took about 1 hour !! Enjoy

 

Looks like you followed the line I did as well. That break in the front trim makes a perfect place to cut it off, and makes it look like something that was designed for the car. Who'd have thought a piece of garage door sealer would look so good on a car.

I missed the Cheap mod discussion.. Tell us how you fabricated it.
and where did you get it for free?

 

It is a garage door seal , the seal that goes on ethe bottom of the door , and 12 screws about 2-3 inches apart from each other ,cut the ends at a angle to match the look screw them to the bottom of the black lip ! Easy took about one hour easy !!

There is a thread with cheap/mods or something like that ...

I too did this mod a few months back. Easy way to go, although I did think the splitter was a much nicer look. Oh well, can't complain on a fixed income.... Enjoy the pic.

Thanks Lamaar. That's vinyl done at AMVIV8 by Vinyl Styles. It has held up great considering being placed on the plastic. He did a great job on the prep and install and it really does enhance the looks of the front end. It was only about 80 bucks to do. There's no patent on my end so if ya like the look and have someone that can do the same type of thing for you..... go for it!
