R50/53 new center console ?

I saw teh new center console for teh cabrio and 2005's.. is this new setup a choice? Because I'm thinking abotu buying a cabrio as a second car but I hate the new center console that I've seen and I like the old version much better. will this be an option, can get it the old way?
