Welcome YYrd! My first was a 2002 Pure Silver Cooper, it was a great car. Had it for 2 years, traded up for a 2004 Chili Red Cooper, had this one for 2 years. Then traded for the one I have now, 2006 Pepper White Cooper S, it will be my keeper. the wife drives a 09 Chocolate Brown Conv. Told her if she didn't start driving a Mini I was booting her out the door........that's right I wear the pants in this family! Gotta go, the wife just told me that I have to do the laundry and clean the house, and while I was at it, wash the pants that I never get to wear.

i swear to god this thing is tuned, no way the factory model is this fast, and it growls! only mods i can see is the wheels dont look factory, but they do say MINI in center cap. and the rear brake are slotted, yet the front are not. never seen a factory slotted brakes!

sadly the brakes are very thin, looking for some ceramic pads to buy. garaged till new brakes!

Nice MINI! I have been craving some R90 wheels. Probably don't look stock to you because they are MFR'd by BBS

When I hear someone is located in FL, I automatically think that means they're within walking distance from me. 3 hours away :(

Are you asking about the cross slotted rotor? If so, they are designed to help move heat away from the rotor during prolonged or extensive braking.

Not factory. Someone has at least replaced the rotors in the front or back depending what that picture is of.

Those are factory premium wheels.

Breaks are exactly abnormal mods, since well, then wear out. Better to replace something with an aftermarket part that works better than the stock part.

You would have to take pictures of the engine bay to see if there are any other mods.

Too vague to help out at this moment.

Nice looking family! Looks like they enjoy the car as well. I noticed the wear spot on the downtube from where the right leg rests against it while driving. The same thing happened to my 2002 MCS. If I had kept that car I was going to remove the down tube, respray it and then buy a piece of the clear film to cut to fit so that I would not have to worry about wearing the paint off again.

That would work, but be careful, the carbon fiber look is addictive....

To repair mushrooming tower, i received M7's brace, and Megans coilovers from ways motor works.

Started on the driver side. jacked up car, took wheel off, and started with he lower strut bolt.

SNAP!! the head breaks right off.

then i sat in the counter for 5 minutes sucking my thumb slowing rocking back and forth. Anybody have experience with removing broken bolts? i tried the , " if all else fails, use a bigger hammer", method. did not work.

well, off to find a bigger hammer!

Driver side bolt broke off too. tried to drill and tap it out and broke the tap. guess i will need to bring the spindles to a machine shop and have it redrilled and retreaded.
