...and they were pretty much awesome. Sound, look, speed, everything. Simply amazing. Only 3 cars out there that they couldn't take, GT3, GT2, and a GT RS4.0. Everything else was lights out.

On another note I saw an orange Aventador (it made my man parts are tingly), more Ferraris than I can count, the new M3 and M5 test mules, and a bunch of other stuff. Not bad for a Tuesday.

edit: and a couple of Countrymen and other random Minis were testing as well. The Countrymen could have been JCW mules since they were hauling all kinds of *** and having driven the S, these were definitely faster.

I only got one of the Aventador. The rest of the time we were busy abusing the living **** out of a rental Scirocco R. My cousin and her BF are visiting so I didn't have my camera and he didn't get any of the Minis. The ones that were on the track were WAY too fast to get pics of. Here's some stuff I stole from his FB album.

Yes, that's an Enzo hiding back there...

I'm not sure how familiar you guys are with the nordschleife, but we had just come out of Kesselchen (km 10) and were approaching Bergwerk (km 9-ish) when a gray GT3 comes up so we signal and move over. He braked WAY late and got a bit squirrely entering Bergwerk but he straightened out and kept going. I kid you not, by the time we made the left at Bergwerk we JUST saw him make the right to go through Ex-Muhle (km 8). Yes, he put about a half klick (maybe a bit more) on us in about 8 seconds... He absolutely WALKED us.

Also, if anyone wants to see any of my old Ring pics let me know if the link isn't visible to you. It's set on public.

These are from last July. It was a good day.

It is early and my math skills are very rusty, but wouldn’t 500 meters in 8 seconds represent approximately a 225 KPH speed differential?

I'll look at the video again and see about the distances and times. I definitely remember seeing his tail for less than a second score he disappeared again.

Oh it was definitely a tester. The shot we got was in the manufacturers garage area before we made our runs. I'm thinking he was testing tires (he was by the Bridgestone garage) but I'm not sure.

Reminded me of this:
Q: What does the Ph.D. in math with a job say to the Ph.D. in math without a job?
A: `Paper or plastic?'

I could play with the porshe in the turns but he would walk away from me on the straightaway...

I’m sure a more experienced driver with the porsche would have kicked my butt all over the place on that track...

By the way, the “point by” was more of a “flip off”... it was the one finger wave!

That sounds about like the Aston Martin that looked to be in GT trim that passed me when I was there. Had his *** end hanging out around every corner and sounded amazing.

Was it the green one with all the decals that you pay 300Euro to be a co-pilot in?

I think I remember it being silver but my memory is terrible with colors. Besides, my rental scirocco couldn't keep up long enough to get a good look :P
