R50/53 Super Charger pullly

Super Charger pullly

I was wondering if its possible to change the pully with out using the pully tool. If its possible how difficult is it?

If you lived closer I'd lend you mine. I've seen info. on-line of people cutting them off along with minor/major secondary damage. Not for the faint of heart.

Also trying to pry it off or hammer it off usually leads to bending the lip of the pulley and then requiring a SC removal!

It can be a demanding job getting the pulley off even using a puller tool! I've done two with the puller, one relatively easy the another a major pain.

My recommendation is buy, borrow or steal a puller!

Good advice.
You CAN but SHOULD NOT try to remove the pulley without a specific tool. Don't even try with a simple three arm puller.

+2, I have done about 40 or so pulleys and have had to cut off one that someone bent to hell. Get a puller..
