Who makes the best Strut Tower/Brace for the R55

Hi,

Been reading tones. Stil can't make up my mind. M7, VIP, NM..... which one is best for the 2011 Clubman S? Some say the M7 Rubs on the hood??? Some say it doesn't. Please enlighten me with what the real deal is.
Thank you

You would probably get a better answer if you posted this in the Clubman technical section.

Doesn't matter they are all aesthetic. Quality wise they are all pretty good too. I have the GTspec one and love it.

I am curious why you say this. Are you implying that they do not do any good as far as firming up the front end? that they are purely for show? Why buy them then? I am new to MINI so please forgive my ignorance

What I mean is that they all do the same thing. No brand is better is then the other they all do the same thing. So it is all about what you think is the best looking one.

Thanks for the clarification. I misunderstood your response. You had me thinking I had just wasted my money on buying the JCW strut

I have the GTSpec one and previously the Forge made one. I prefre the GTSpec one not only because it will fit in conjunction with the K&N made Typhoon air filter system but because it feels much stiffer over the Forge one.

Forge made two different types of front upper struts and The one I had was the cheaper version, so maybe their more expensive one fairs better.

Last but not least, try and find one with a triple point mount, the more point mounts the better!

I got my JCW Strut Tower Brace today, and it appears it only has two mount points. Perhaps that was a bad move, but I wanted to keep the car, for know at least , with only Mini parts. I guess I will see just how effective it is. Thanks for the feedback.
