How many air filters?

Hey guys, am I dealing with three air filters on an R53? Intake, panel, and cabin? If so, where the heck is the panel filter located? Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by 'panel.' I have an R53 also.

I went to the dealer and asked for an air filter for the R53, and he gave me something similar looking to this http://www.defendersofspeed.com/stor...2-thickbox.jpg. It's too wide to be the cabin filter.
When I opened the hood though, I have a cone shaped Alta intake filter.

You've now got a spare OEM air filter. Your Alta bit is aftermarket. That panel-looking filter is the stock filter that goes in a box where your Alta filter now is.

Yhe alta filter is cleanable....
It uses a special kit...
When you reoil it, do not over oil it...it uses just a few drops, sprays. If it is torn/degrading, replace it.
