New '06 MCS Owner- SC

My name is Kuala (Kayla) and i just bought a Mini! Previously owned an '09 Honda Civic.. but that didn't look very nice beside an M3.. so i decided i needed something nicer and sporty.. i have always liked Minis and i fell in love with them after driving a family members Clubman a few years ago. I absolutely love this car and i love the sound of my engine, very nice.. excited to be the owner of this car

PS i named him Henry :D

*Here are some pictures*

Did my first modification yesterday, we took out my 3 piece dash. It was glossy black with circles on it, there were also a few scratches. My boyfriend and I painted them the matte black that you see.

Looking forward to more modification down the road.

It has about 66k miles, what should i be expecting in maintenance? Also, are there any recommendations for OEM oils or OEM parts, etc.?

Thanks for viewing Henry

Hi Suzanne. May I ask where you got the Craven pully? Do they show up on the used parts section much?

This is the first time Kuala has been on any type of forum so I'm trying to helper her throughout the way

I got mine installed in Thomasville, NC by Dan Zipkin at Grassroots Garage.

http://grassrootsgarage.com/index.html

He is an expert when it comes to Minis and as I am "mechanically challenged" at that level, he did a great (and very reasonably priced) job. The pulley is definitely the best bang for the buck improvement!
