R50/53 Running a Harness to Seat Anchors?
Running a Harness to Seat Anchors?
Hey guys, I have a question about mounting a racing harness. Has anyone tried running them to the child seat anchors in the rear seats? The metal bar inside of the plastic flaps looks pretty skinny, but then again it is supposed to be strong enough to hold a child's seat. Also, if this did work, rear passengers could probably fit inbetween the harness (if you didn't cross them).
Just wondering if anyone has tried this before.

Check out Schroth. They have several options available for the Mini.

if you are really serious about using harnesses, the length to the rear seat mounting points is too long. the stretch in a large g hit will be excessive and you won't end up where you started. this can result in facial reorganization or worse. European standards seem to accept this, but all US organizations want the length of the harness to be minimized.
