I just noticed that on the configurator, under interior accessories (step 5), there is an option for the minifini cup holder $35.00.

My car came with it. I didn't ask for it.

I'm never the most up to date on the New Car Options (after all, I bought mine used!) but I thought all 04 models are coming with one cup holder standard?

I'm not surprised if they offer a second cup holder to purchase for the passenger side...they are ugly, but they work great! As a commuter and java lover, I have two in my car...

Yeah, they are including them as standard feature from now on. They did a survey with 900 current MINI owners, and sent one to each person.

They got an overwhelming "Wow!" and decided to include them standard. My parents just bought an IB/B MCS, and theirs came with one. It's really cool

I've got two problems with the minifini cupholder installed on the passenger side -

1. If it's all the way to the right, it interferes with the passenger leg room, or you end up banging into it when you slide the seat forward to put your kid inthe back.

2. If it's all the way to the left, you rake your knuckes on it when you shift to 5th. There is no middle ground between these two.

That said, I still have mine in the car because as a cupholder it works great.

I was wondering why it was on the configurator, since I knew that it was a standard feature. I thought that they might be charging for it now. I guess they probably have it there for people who want more than one.
