I have Mini with 16" weels and the run-flat performance tire. The tires suck in the snow, ice and rain the Colorado. What tires are the best replacement for my application?

I live in Colorado as well and I am running the Yokohama high performance all season Avid V4S. So far they have been great. Last storm , I went around everyone that was sliding down the hill, with no problems.

I have continental extreme performance all season, in size 215/45/17, and they are the best tires in rain, snow and slush. Not to mention there incredible dry traction!

cheers, jason

I have the Falken Ziex ZE 512 sized 205/50/16 on my MC. I got them from r-speed ( http://www.rspeed.net/mini/item.asp?...p;prod=405-712 ). I love these tires. I live in the Washington DC area. We get a mix of ice and snow. I put my self in a snow bank (on purpose) when I took my dog for a walk and had no trouble getting out. The do good in the slush we have here most of the winter. If you live where the snow is worse you might want to look at the snow tires tire rack offers but for all around bad weather I love these puppies.

When the weather is good I notice no drop off in performance as compaired to the Goodyear runflats that came with my MC - I may not push my car as hard as some. If you were looking to push the car hard though you likely would not be looking for all season tyres though.

Have a good one.
John

Ditto on the Continental Extereme 215/45/17. Just had the Tire Rack install these two weeks ago. VAST improvement over the Goodyear runflats in comfort and snow traction. I live in South Bend, IN (read lake effect and 0deg F. most of the winter). Good compromise if you don't or can't go with real winter tires. Im happy withmy purchase. Tou might want to visit the Tire Rack website and look under reviews of this and other tires.

I live near Ottawa, Canada and have been using Dunlop WinterSport M3 tires on my stock MCS. If you still want runflat tires these have been good and I'm not a fair weather driver.
