Group Buy / Development: Rennline Clubdoor (R55) RS-Style Door Pulls

"Bringing the signature RS-style door pulls to the third door handle of the R55..."

Backstory: For those who know the Porsche RS cars, they have the nylon strap the door handle to reduce connecting linkage, and weight. For the R5x platform, Rennline (http://www.rennline.com) has made the same application for the front doors. However, I'm wanting the third clubdoor as well.

Example Below: Front Door Pulls show for the R5x [R55 / R56 / R57 / R58 Platform]:

Contacting Tom Rittenburg @ Rennline he's willing to look into development and creation of the third handle for the clubdoor [R55]. The catch is there needs to be ten (10x) buyers to be confirmed into their system. Here's Tom's exact words on the subject:

Pricing: Rennline doesn't have an expected price on the clubdoor handle kit currently as they don't have access:

So, who's in for the clubdoor handle kit? I would love to see these be a success as it would be great to have all three handles match. Please feel free to ask questions on this subject here on this thread as I don't want to overflow Rennline's email inbox.

- Disclaimer - I am not affliliated of Rennline or their employees; this thread is to gauge others interest and see if individuals are willing to commit for research, development and fabrication. Thanks!

Interesting ... the look pretty nice.
One thing I don't understand though is how does this function when opening the door?

Instead of the handle, it's now a tow-pull nylon strap.
It removes the chrome half-moon shape and replaces it with the strap and the plate.
Makes the motion a simple 'pull-out' motion with a pair of fingers through the strap.

Can they supply even a ballpark price? It's hard to commit when they have no idea of the pricing. I do like them though.

I can contact Rennline to ask such.

That's completely understood.
As a reference, the front doors are $95 for the pair.

Erik - if the club door is about half of the full kit (no reason it shouldn't be) then add me to the confirmed list.

VENDOR
If you wish to advertise and/or perform market research on North American Motoring, you must be a paying vendor. Click on Contact Us found in the Main Menu block to learn more. Group buys must be arranged through North American Motoring vendors.
Have Rennline get in contact with the site through the Contact Us form, and we can get them setup.

Out of fairness to our Vendors that already went through the process, advertising, market research and group buys are privileges they've arranged for. Out of fairness to the Vendors they must be the ones to start the group buy, if there are any vendors that you would like to offer group buys I suggest contacting them via PM and allow them to make the arrangements if they so choose. We've got a dedicated group buy forum that also lists the group buys on the home page for more visibility.

As I said we'd be happy to have them, however there is a process that applies so I'll be closing this thread.
