How much should I ask for selling this 2005 MCS?
How much should I ask for selling this 2005 MCS?
2005 Mini Cooper S dark silver
Dinan Stage 5 208 HP kit, Borla Catback exhaust, Front Tiebar, new tires, battery, O2 sensors
Serpentine belt and crank pulley. 89000 miles. *Runs / looks great.
Kelly gives me only about $11,500, but does not factor any of the 5-6,000 Dinan extras. Not sure what premium they might add
Thanks

Good rule of thumb is to:
A. Compute the cost of the upgrades installed.
B. Cut them in half. Add that number to the value of the car, then
C. Be prepared to wait for the right buyer, because the vast majority of buyers aren't going to see any/very, very little value in the upgrades. Oftentimes, it is better to take them off and sell them separately, though that would likely be counterproductive in the case of the Dinan kit.
Also, when computing the base Private Party value of the car, KBB isn't necessarily the best guide. I would advise using KBB plus Edmunds, NADA, Black Book, and AutoTrader.com/Cars.com to determine a good average, as my experience has been that any single guide can be off +/- 25% or more compared to market.
Timing also has a lot to do with it. Used market is still up right now, and MINIs generally sell well In the summer months and not so well after Labor Day.
For reference, I just purchased a 2005 MINI Cooper convertible with Stage5 Dinan engine upgrades. 47K miles, clean CarFax and pre-purchase inspection, all options including factory aero kit (but not nav); I paid $15K.
GLWS!
