R50/53 does a wheelchair fit in the back of a mini?
hi all,
i am anxiously awaiting my mini (another 4 weeks!!).
i am just curious to know, since one of my good friends is on a wheelchair, if or not a regular sized wheelchair fits in the back of a mini?
thanks
I don't know about a wheel chair -- but quite a few people are surprised when I tell them I've easily gotten TWO 24-speed road bikes completely inside my MINI (of course by folding down both rear seats and by removing both wheels of each bike).

>>hey! thanks for the responses guys. what about wheelchairs with a rigid frame with pop-off wheels?

I can get a walker inside with the back seats down.
since you have time, why don't you and your friend stop in at the local mini dealer and see for yourselves.
You might be able to get a test ride to carry you through the last few weeks of waiting too.

yohman, with the wheels popped off, it should be no problem fitting it inside. Of course, it would be best to try it out at the dealership during a test drive
I've carried 2 large size rolling garbage cans inside mine, and I'm sure the frame of the wheelchair is smaller than they are. . .

I get my Dolomite Legacy rolling walker in the back with lots of room to spare (with the back seats down, of course. The low entry into the boot makes the lifting easier. I did put a friend's standard manual wheelchair in the boot with no trouble (with wheels attached!).
