Vinyl Dash Wrapping on R57

I cannot seem to find any good threads on wrapping the dash on an R56 or R57 Mini. I would like to eliminate the boring Piano Black and get something a little more exciting.

Is there a DIY on wrapping the dash?
How would you wrap behind the tach and openometer? They seem to be quite close to the dash, unless the trim has to be removed from the vehicle completely.

Thanks,

If you want to do a good install on the trim, you will want to pull them off first. This eliminates the possibility to scratch anything else up and you can also tuck the edges.

are there any DIY's to pull the dash trim inserts and door arch trim accents? I'm looking to change out our 2009 wavy checkered for a different look. I like the fluid silver look. anyone ever swap these out?

My local dealers in Maryland don't carry any wrappings. I've found a few places in California that will wrap the dash and door pieces for a good price, but I have to remove the pieces and ship it all to them. I'm not the best interior person, I worry about pulling door arches off myself. I'm still looking for a local shop to get me a quote. For now, we are going to stay with the wavy checkered pieces.

COOL! do you have anything behind the steering wheel in the instrument cluster? Or did you leave that as checkered?

I found the place that sells these vinyl overlays for the dashboard, but alas, they have been discontinued recently. Apparently the overlays don't cover all the way to the edge (for easy installation) and many customers were complaining. They may do custom orders if you are looking though. The website is http://www.minimotoringgraphics.com . I have no affiliation nor am I recommending them, but if you're looking they do have a bunch of options for different styles inside and out of the car.

Yes, the one behind the tach is quite similar. I did remove the tach to make application easier. There are just 2 screws.

At first my wife DID NOT like it. She hasn't said any more so I don't bring it up.
