Hey everyone, don't forget that registration ends soon for MINIs in the Mountains, a great event held in Colorado every year. This year like last year it's in Winter Park, so it's fairly close to Denver. The dates are August 4th - 7th.

Countryman owners especially should really enjoy this event. I was just out this last weekend scouting out some forest roads that will make a great drive (not sure if it will be an official drive yet but I will take some people out there as an impulse drive if nothing else), as well as one forest road that was too way too much real 4x4 action for a group drive but was fun anyway!

There's also an autocross school there and a lunch atop the mountain and a car show and vendors and general MINI awesomeness.

I know I sound a lot like a sales person here, I am tangentially involved in that I've been every year and do the group photos. This year I plan to also run a MINI photo booth of some kind, details pending.

I just can't help but think that fellow CM owners would really enjoy wandering around the mountains of Colorado.

 

I'd love to come in fact I plan on taking a road trip out to Denver after I get my ALL4 this winter.. got the RMSP+ season pass so I'll be at Winter Park, Copper and Steamboat but unfortunately I'll probably get my car in September

 

Registered back in April/May....if nothing else, just to get out of the HEAT! I know, I know, I live in Texas, and LOVE it here, but this summer started out hotter than ususal....looking forward to some cool evenings. THought about the Autocross event, but in a CM "Justa", not sure how I would fare.....Will particpate in group rides once they get them up and running....
