I looked at the wheels actually sold at that site, but could not find a match. I've given up trying to find lightweight, attactive wheels for my MCS because they don't seem to exist, but at least the wheel in the pics has a nice lip on it and looks slightly less abominable than most. I have some ASA LS5 anywheels as my winter beaters that have a similar shape to the ones in the pics. Despite their standalone hideousness, they have curved spokes that complement the lines of the MINI well. Might be worth a closer look.

Don't give up all hope yet, I think i found your mystery wheel. Only downside is that they are located in Japan. I think they come from a company called NKB power

Are these them?

It looks like them. I recall the the NKB wheels were <=16". If I could get them in 17 and they didn't weigh a ton, I might be interested in participating in a group buy.

I think they would be better with tires that fit them...

I'm going to hazard a guess that this is to what you're referring:

Otherwise, no doubt there are tires that will fit 16x7 or 16x8 wheels, just as there are tires that fit 17x7-8 wheels.

There are definitely tires that fit...they are just going for that Euro look which is currently big among old school VW's
