Hello Everyone,

Sorry for posting this so late but I finally got this planned. We will be making a run up to Lake Lure on Sunday July 10th. We are doing this on a Sunday so that our friends from Hendrick MINI can join us if they wish.

We will be meeting at the entrance to the Walmart parking lot at the intersection of Mt. Holly Huntersville Rd. and NC16, the address is:

9820 Callabridge Ct
Charlotte, NC 28216

We will be departing at 10am so try to be there no later than 945. We will drive some back roads into Shelby, then hop on 74 up to the Lake. We will stop for lunch at La Strada (Italian food overlooking the lake and beach).

***UPDATE*** We will be making a stop in Shelby to meet some people that don't want to drive to Charlotte. We will be stopping at the Highland Festival (Harris Teeter) Shopping Center located at:
1145 E Marion St
SHELBY, NC 28150
We should be there between 11:00 and 11:30 and plan on departing at 11:30am.

After lunch we will continue North on some nice twisty roads until we reach I-40 east of Asheville. We will head East on 40 and at that point people can break off where they need to for the trip back home. Depending on where you live you should be home no later than 4-5pm.

Thanks to everyone who came out! It was unfortunate that we got tied up in traffic that slowed us down. Those are some great roads when you get a clear shot at them.
