17'' anthracite 5-Star Spoke rims photos?

Hello everyone,

I'm Alessandro, from Panama (Rep. of Panama) and I'm looking to surprise my wife with a nice gift for her... a Mini Cooper S Countryman All4.

She loves white, so I'll definitely go for a White One, with black roof (panoramic), black leather interior with pure red color on the door panels.

Due to the general road conditions where I live, I'll stick with 17'' rims... I'm trying to find some pictures of how the 17'' anthracite 5-Star Spoke look, does any one have any photos I could look at?

I've been going through some pictures in the Countryman Photos section, but I'm never sure if the rims I'm seeing are the Black or Anthracite ones...

Thanks for your help,
Alessandro

I love them. I think they go better with the car than the black does as all the surrounding trim matches. In theory they will look cleaner, longer.

Not a white one but at least a picture with the 17" Anthracite. Think of them as a Matte black versus a Gloss black, but still black. Forgive the rotor rust, just washed and dried...

Thank you very much for the great feedback; the revealing detail for me is finding out that both anthracite and Gloss black are essentially the same color tone, the difference being on the superficial finish. Originally I thought that anthracite color was lighter, someway in the middle between standard light silver and gloss black.

Now I'll have to decide what rim color (standard silver or anthracite) matches better with the cars selected color combination (white + black roof)...not an easy decision!

Thanks for your help,
Alessandro

Hi Alessandro, excuse for my bad english, but
I advise you to put the wheels color anthracite, because ones silver get dirty silver immediately with brake dust.

You do know that for just "a few dollars more" you can get the super fancy 18" anthracite with silver trim wheels?

Sealy - Who knows that this is the most dangerous of all MINI thoughts and how you end up with a $40K CM.

That was the reason I got them.

But then you get a harsher ride, and have to deal with cleaning the brake dust and dirt off the silver rim, kind of ruins the point of getting anthracite/black wheels to begin with.

Use armor all wheel protector. Wheels stay very clean for about a month. So far so good..

Go to my photo gallery for pics of a white and black.. Or check out this thread, I just posted new pics there..

Yeah, but the ladies love the big, fancy wheels. And we all know, it's all about the ladies.

Sealy - Who's just repeating what he's heard.
