Sirius in demo mode?

I picked up a new JCW Clubman leftover from 2010 that has Sirius installed.
I haven't bothered to call in because I'm getting all the channels.
When I turn the control it'll give me the number to call to subscribe.
Why should I call in if it's working fine already? Is this a dealer setting for demo
that just hasn't been changed? Other than stopping the phone # from popping up
occasionally is there any reason to change it?

I have Sirius in my Clubman that has the lifetime subscription on it. I still get the "call to subscribe" message on it when I start it for the first time or occasionally when it is looking for a signal. I think that may be normal. I would just wait and see what happens...

We bought our Clubman used, so I called to Sirius to see if I need to do anything. They told me according to my VIN, that I didn't have Sirius so... I took that to mean I was fine.

My 07 with lifetime subscription has never displayed that message.
