Lime Rock Historic Fest Labor Day Sept.5.
There WILL be a MINI corral at Lime Rock Park this year (Labor Day). James has left us for the world of Audi (Vorsprung durch Technik) so I have picked up where he has left off. Stay tuned for further details.
Update... Lime Rock Park has released ticket information for the Historic Festival Sunday & Monday (September 4th and 5th).
Sunday - 9/4
Sunday in the Park (Car Show)
We will have dedicated space on the track for Mini owners to show their cars. Last year there were roughly six MINIs in the show, this year let's see if we can blow that number out of the water
Lime Rock Park request those showing cars to be at the track by 9am for setup. The show opens at 10am and goes on until the awards presentation at 3:00pm. All cars are judged and awards given to outstanding cars. Gate entrance fee includes showing off your car. All attendees are encouraged to show.
Sunday tix can be ordered on the Lime Rock Park website or by phone. Prices are $20 per person in advance or $25 per person at the gate. Kids 12 and under are free.
Monday - 9/5
MINI Corral and Vintage Racing
To order tickets for the Sunday, September 5th event-which includes the MINI Corral, parade Laps & more, please logon to limerock.com, click on Historics, then Tickets. In the bar which appears they should enter the code MINI2011(case sensitive). Tickets can also be ordered by calling Lime Rock Park at 860 435 5000.

sunday is strictly a car show. there is no racing on sundays. monday is the day to go to see the vintage cars race and hang with a bunch of miniacs. We are usually parked over near the last turn before the downhill straight which provides for some nice action.
For those attending the car show on Sunday, please be in the main gate at Lime Rock by 09:00. When entering mention that your are there to show off your MINI, you will be directed to the section on the track where the MINIs are parked. Look for Sharon (aka Seatrax). She will be the coordinator for the car show.
On Monday (Labor Day) gates open at 07:00. The MINI corral is located on the infield right after you cross the bridge (same place as before). I will be at the the gate waving folks in. Lime Rock has allowed us 50 slots this year for the parade laps. As before, the first 50 cars in the corral will get a ticket for the parade lap.
See everyone this weekend. Have a safe journey up to Lime Rock.

Sharon's two cents:
In the past 2 years we have been parked on the track in the same area. But the one thing to know, is that we are NOT part of CONCOURS on Sunday, so do not follow those signs (that will take you to the straight away and we cannot get on the track there).
To get onto the track to find the MINIs:
Enter at the Main Gate
Proceed over the bridge to the infield.
Make your first right, this will take you down to the track.
Turn left, proceed with caution toward the backstraight and drive till you see other MINIs or the MINI Sign, usually right next to the BMWs.
On the attached map, this roadway does not show, but it runs right near the "Skid Pad"
Also if you have been to a MINI Corral on Monday it is the same road we use then to get onto the track Hope this helps out.
"CHECKERS" is looking forward to seeing everyone there!!!
