Changing the Supercharger oil

Yes, I already know there are how-to's, I've seen them. My question is how much oil do I put in each end of the SC? One says 2oz in the snout and 6oz in the rear, wheras another says 2.5oz in the snout and 5.5oz in the rear, and Bentley Publishing (yes, the ones who created the marvelous service manual) say to leave it on the car and fill each end until it runs out of the fill/drain hole... So... Who's right?

By the way, is there a special tool required to take the SC off the engine, such as the belt tensioner?

Thanks for your help

It's 6oz (front) and 2oz (rear).

S/C needs to be removed to really do a clean job... and to check the condition of the PTO gears at the back-end.

Yes, a belt tensioner is needed to remove the belt, which allows you to remove the S/C.

Edit: here's the mega-thread on S/C & coolant pump... https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...r-pump-21.html

Thank you, I guess I misread about the front and rear of the SC...
