iPhone disconnect question

Hoping someone may be able to help with this. I have a 2010 MCS with Harmon Kardon stereo and an iPhone 4. I am using with the OEM usb/aux Y cable.
My question is when I disconnect my iPhone, the stereo defaults back to the radio. When I connect the iPhone again I have to go back in and select "USB" as the device, is there anyway to not have the radio come back on and leave the device setting on "USB"?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
PS I will update my sig soon!

Unfortunately there is not way to have it stay at the iPod setting because when the iPhone/iPod is disconnected the computer in your car knows this and automatically switches to the radio.

Now when you connect it back up it does not switch because you may only be plugging it in to charge and because of that they do not have it auto switch.

I find the default behavior a bit annoying as well. At the very least, is there a way to tell the stereo to switch to CD instead of the radio?
