Electric Motor Noise after Shutdown

Came home late night, shut down the engine, locked the doors. On my way to the house heard strange buzzing noise. Definitely coming from my MINI like an electric motor was running for several seconds then stopped then running again... Never had that before. Just curious what it could be?

Mini's have always done this is completely normal! in the r53 years it was always the fuel pump/power steering fan.

In R56/55's im almost positive its the power steering fan/Cooling system fan that recirculates coolant around the turbo to aid in the "cool down"

I could be wrong on the new generation's, but the noise is completely normal!

I get this every time I park my Mini, and it usually lasts more than a few seconds. At least 60sec or so for me.

Dealer told me it was a water pump that removes the condensation from the turbo.

I have Justa 09 and the noise is not pronounced like a cooling fan. Some fine buzzing...
