This is a picture from the week I picked her up (April 14th, 2011).

I do photography on the side, but I am definitely not an automotive photographer. I haven't shot any cars really for about 4 years, minus the big Amelia Concours D'Elegance I covered in March for a tuner company based in Oregon. So I've been practicing on the MINI

Tip for car photos that will work really well on yours - try taking the white balance a little towards the blue end. Brings out the reflections and the shape of the curves (especially the hood of a MINI) nicely - and on a blue car, what's to lose?!

I should have got Laser Blue - I thought it was lighter than it is. But I still like red, so that's OK.

In my experience and preference you want no reflections on cars. Which is why i use a CPL. The white balance will defiantly affect the hue of the laser blue slightly. Although no CPL was used for the shots above. You want it as natural as possible, but also not too "cold".

Blue is my favorite color so it was only fitting that laser blue be the one i picked. My salesman owned a midnight blue color, and while it was alright it just didn't have the 'pop' that I wanted in the color.

No reason to start another thread.
Here is some updated pics of the MINI.

Only thing that has changed on the exterior is the 2" antenna, and PIAA yellow fog bulbs.

As for the engine she now has Way Motor Works Hood Heat Shield, Alta BOV Spring Upgrade, Defenders of Speed Cold Air Intake, and NM Engineering Torque Arm Insert.

Tint will come in a few weeks, as well as the H-sport rear sway bar.

Haven't been to the NAM forums in awhile

Have a few updates on the car.

First some previous shots of the fog light upgrades I never included from the previous post; PIAA yellow fogs.
Stock vs PIAA

Just PIAA fogs on.

To see more pics visit the thread i published awhile back.

Shorty antenna vs stock antenna.

Few pics of the DOS CAI.

The mini received 18% tint all around (except windshield), and 18% metallic tint on the double pane sunroof. (cell phone pic sorry for quality)

Here is the mini on the beach. You can see the tint a little better here.

And as of 2 months-ish ago some ******* with no insurance rear-ended me causing $2300 in "visible" damage. It's going into the shop soon to get repaired and see what other damage is hidden. Thankfully my insurance is covering this for me They have to replace rear bumper, hatch, emblems, and paint and blend in the rear fenders. Other hidden damamge, like i said, is to be seen yet...

Everything appears peachy; I haven't seen it in person yet. Dad is sending me cell pics from the body shop. I'll get her back tonight after work.

Thanks.

Picked up some new rubber; so far much better than the runflats. Haven't pushed them much yet. Just got through the break in period not long ago.
