Interior/Exterior ProClip mount and airbag
I need some information on the location and deployment of airbags in the Countryman.
I prefer to use a stand-alone GPS instead of integrated GPS systems. In my SAAB I used a ProClip (http://www.proclipusa.com/home/home.aspx) mount for years. When I ordered my Countryman, I ordered a mount for it.
However, the mount I received for my Countryman clips around the driver's side A-pillar and I noticed the pillar is marked "Airbag" near the headliner. So now I'm wondering exactly where the airbag resides - in the headliner or inside the pillar? I do not want the mount to interfere with the airbag, nor do I want the mount (and GPS) blown into the driver should the airbag trigger. Any thoughts?
Your help is greatly appreciated.
