I'm looking for a mechanic not associated with a dealer in my area. The closest dealer is over an hour away, and I need someone I can trust who understands Minis, to whom I can drag my Mini if she breaks down. I live in the Husdon Valley of NY State, south of the Capital Region.

Mini or MINI?
Mini = the "classic" produced from 1959 to 2000, and not sold in the US after the mid 60's
MINI = the one with dealers today in the US
you may want to re-post in the proper place . . .
Sadly the distinction 'tween Mini and MINI nomenclature is rapidly deteriorating on this site.
