Did Steak and Shake steal the MINI logo?

I wish Steak n Shake was up here in Jersey. Best burgers ever!

 

Hmmm... Steak and Shake (or as I like to call it, "Steak and Snake" ) was founded in 1934 but they didn't file for a trademark until 1967. Minis with wings were around shortly after their 1959 inception.

Looks like Mini has a "beef."

 

I'm pretty sure S & S has had that logo for a long time. I know I saw it years ago. Plus, look at Chrysler, Harley Davidson, Aston Martin and Bentley (and I believe there's more?), they all use the wings with something written in the middle. Kind of hard to believe that all these companies couldn't each come up with something unique

 

Speaking of, yesterday I was on the way over to Way's to get some stuff done to Mozart. About the time I was exiting onto another expressway a car came up along my left side. I only got a glimpse but couldn't figure out what it was. I had kind of a MINI looking emblem, circle with wings type, but was some sort of sports car I think it said "Vantage" on the back as well. Does anyone know what this was?

OK, did some research and found it, it's an Aston Martin.

 

If it was the V12 Vantage (they also make a V8) it's an amazing car........and veryyyyy pricey. The closest I'll ever get to one is fogging up the plate glass window on the front of the dealership
