Rattle coming from right side when accelerating

please don't tell me this is the supercharger

I was riding passenger in my car today and when you floor it you can hear a rattling noise coming from the front of the car passenger side. I have heard this months ago when my dad drove it, and didn't hear it again but thats because I never rode passenger since. What could this be??

Yeah if you have an 05' - and the rattling sound seems to be coming from behind the glove box, then the upper hydraulic engine mount is probably shot.

Check below and around it for signs of brownish fluid having leaked and dried off....and you can always just lift the bonnet and watch/listen for it while someone rev's the bloody thing too.....

****. Yup, it's the motor mount. Sun of a gun leaked like crazy. Picture below

So I guess a couple questions then:

1) Can I replace this myself?
2) How much will it cost if I take it in to get it fixed.
and lastly, does it NEED to be replaced right away? I really don't know how long it's been like this, so what will happen if I do not replace it?

Yes, you can replace it yourself. The mount will be around $95 at the dealer. Clean the crud up with rubbing alcohol. Do a how to search to understand how and what tools you may need.

Great time to upgrade to the WMW/TSW upper motor mount which will never leak and will last the life of the car probably. I hate replacing poorly designed parts with the same part......

One of the first things I had to do when I picked up my '05 R53:

Be sure to check the lower mount too, with the upper mount bad it might have had some additional stress placed on it.
