I bought the adapter (part # 84212158683) that is listed on the MINI accessories site in hopes of having the same functionality in the armrest that I have when my iPhone is plugged into the console USB. I guess I misunderstood the purpose of the armrest adapter because something is not working correctly. When I plug the phone in I can see the iPod on my phone and it appear to be charging through the armrest, but no audio is coming out. Also, not able to use MINI Connected through the armrest. What am I missing? Did I just pay a bunch of money to have a snap-in phone charger?

BTW, I just got my '11 CM black/black/black wheels w/MINI connected & NAV, premium, convenience, and adaptive xenons. I LOVE it!!!

I'm not aware of any snap in cradles that work correctly. There have been a ton of posts/threads about this, and no one has had any success.
