ARGHHHH - Can't decide roof color with BRG2

We'll be ordering in the next two days and I'm totally stumped - down to needing to flip a coin.
I thought I was going with BRG2 and black roof and mirrors (no sunroof) and black bonnet stripes. Now I'm having second thoughts and wondering if the white roof, mirrors, and stripes are the way to go.

I love both!!

Seems like maybe the white roof is more unique looking and sportier while the black is more sedate. Also wondering if the green color reads so dark that black is not enough of a contrast.

And if the white or black roof shows more dirt - I guess the black does in reality but I'm imagining the white with a lot of crud on it.

Any strong opinions either way?

Black roof does show water spots badly after rain. I agree with you that white and BRG is more original and like it with the bonnet stripes. I am partial to sport stripes but not with these colours. I say, go white.

Absolutely; especially as BRG2 is lighter than BRG and MUCH lighter than OG.

I would suggest the white roof/mirrors/stripes as well.

On that color, I'd go white roof myself.

+1 for white. I've been bitching for months now because my black roof shows horrible scratches under close inspection.

Where do you live? The white roof gives you a much cooler car if it's hot outside. A white roof is also more "classic" Mini. A white roof allows for greater "personalization" options such as flag decals, graphics, etc.

Best of luck with whatever you choose.

My 2¢

Agreed, you could do a cool green/white color theme that would be sort of "classic" I think.

Thanks for the feedback! We were just about ready to flip a coin.
It helps to hear black shows rain spots & scratches.
I think I'm now leaning toward white.

Body color roof and mirrors! But what do I know, I don't follow convention.

Another in favor of white roof/mirrors. It's a classic look.

The original BRG was very dark and the black roof with that was almost no contrast. The new BRG2 has more yellow in it and looks like a true green, so the black contrasts nicely with it. But, if you're not planning on a sunroof then I'd go with the white roof, more traditional I think. Of course, my second choice would be BRG2 with BRG2 roof, black would be third choice.
When I was trying to decide on the roof color for Mozart I printed the screen image of all three options and hung them on the fridge for a day or two. I figured out which one I was drawn to every time I walked through the kitchen so that is what I ordered.
Good luck, can't wait to hear/see what you decide.
Annette

I think the BRG will look great with a white roof. Sort of a traditional look. Good luck with your tough decision.

I like the contrast with the white roof and white bonnet stripes. As far as white wheels...yeah, they'd look awesome but they'd be hard to keep clean especially if you kept the OEM brake pads.

I have white roof/stripes and I've never noticed a dirt/grime/water spot issue on them...

I'd white because of the heat factor, I have a clubman s w/ the black metallic and summer isnt even here yet, I may get it painted light silver to match the tail end.

I'm very pleased with my BRG MINI's white roof, mirrors and bonnet stripes. If I had it to do again, I'd get the same thing!

HA! imagine having a black car im to the point of telling someone they cant even look at it because it will scratch

If you have the option go with a BRG mini all the way around. if you have to choose between white or black, go white!
