Front & Rear Cameras On A Mini....
Front & Rear Cameras On A Mini....
Notice how BOTH cameras can switch modes, right left, straight ahead, and the back one seems to be able to change it's angle of view up/down....
I wonder if that is the factory Nav screen in use.... or an Alpine display?

Those cameras are using the factory Nav screen. There are several aftermarket options for doing that, but this is the nicest I've seen. There are even OEM cameras from BMW/MINI. I have the OEM backup camera on my R52: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-i-did-it.html
I don't mean to be a major bummer here, but with the size of our cars, why would anyone need cameras front and back to park?
It's cool, but I have so much visual range in my MINI, the only thing I'd ever be in danger of running over might be a snake.

It's not about "need". My rear camera is a great enhancement/upgrade. I can make a case with the bad rear visibility on my R52, but it would be useful even in a hardtop. I can easily see traffic while backing out of a parking spot when sandwiched between minivans and SUVs. I like it so much that I'll want a rear camera on any car I own in the future.
