R53 TPMS questions

Lots of questions, but I will stick with the TPMS ones here.

First, are the TPMS monitors on an R53 mounted to the wheel?

Does anyone have an actual part number(s)?

Can someone point me to a diagram or exploded view of the TPMS system on an R53?

If I am asking questions about things that don't exist or I have a wrong idea how this technology works, can someone fill me in and/or point me to some documentation?

Thanks.

Chad

The R53s (and any Mini mid 07 and before) had the flat tire monitor which used the ABS sensors to detect differences in wheel rotation. No hardware in the wheels.

It uses the ABS sensors to detect if one wheel is spinning slower than the opposite wheel.

Yep. I was surprised when I learned that about my 06.
